Veterinary disinfectant VIRKON S 0.5 KG - Professional disinfectant
Virkon S - powder, the first broad-spectrum virucidal veterinary disinfectant, is recognized by the specialty industry and governments around the world as the disinfectant of first choice for the prevention and control of animal diseases. Virkon S combines the great flexibility of application and the broad spectrum of action with the effectiveness against viruses, bacteria and fungi at low temperatures, in hard water, on porous surfaces and in the presence of organic matter.
Active substance: 50% Pentapotassium.
Virkon S is an oxygen-based chemical disinfectant that contains simple organic salts and organic acids. The active ingredient decomposes in various ways in the environment, soil and water, forming non-harmful substances, potassium salts and oxygen. Three quarters of the ingredients in Virkon S are inorganic substances, which naturally break down in the environment into simple inorganic salts. The rest, the organic compounds, are classified as biodegradable according to the test standards.
Mode of action:
Virkon S oxidizes the sulfur bonds in proteins and enzymes, interrupting the function of the cell membrane, causing the cell wall to break. There is no evidence to suggest that disease-causing bacteria develop resistance to Virkon S compared to other types of disinfectants.
Composition:
Virkon S is meticulously checked during the manufacturing process to be a balanced, stabilized mixture of peroxygen compounds, surfactant, organic acids and an inorganic buffer system.
Field of use: veterinary field.
Area of use:
General decontamination of surfaces and portable farm equipment;
Decontamination of disinfectants for vehicles and feet;
Sanitization of drinking water supply systems;
Air decontamination.
