Lypex nutritional supplement for malabsorption disorders in dogs and cats

Lypex is a veterinary supplement containing pancreatic enzymes, developed with the help of human technology.

Purified and concentrated pancreatic enzymes are made into micropellets and each one is then coated with a gastro-resistant film.

Thus it offers 100% protection against the digestive acids present in the stomach.

After 10 minutes of passing from the stomach into the alkaline environment of the small intestine, the pellet coating is dissolved and the protected enzymes are released to maximize digestion.

Malabsorption syndromes in dogs and cats are well known in the veterinary field: exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, spastic colon syndrome, lactose intolerance and bile salt deficiency. These disorders of the pancreas and the functioning of the intestinal wall lead to a decrease in digestive and absorption capacity.

Most medications for treating pancreatic conditions are in powder form and the enzymes they contain are not protected from acid digestion. Thus two-thirds of ingested pancreatic enzymes are destroyed in the stomach before they reach the small intestine.

To compensate for this situation, pancreatic enzymes are administered in high doses and concentrations.

This fact can have various side effects:

1. It causes erosion of the esophageal and oral mucosa,

2. It causes skin irritation both in the case of the owner (who administers the preparation) and the animal.

Each capsule of Lypex contains gastro-resistant micropellets with a high content of pancreatic enzymes.

    The enteric coating provides 100% protection against acid digestion by stomach enzymes.

    After 5-10 minutes of passage into the small intestine, 100% of the enzymes are released, thus maximizing the digestion process.

    Lypex is safe to use and cannot be overdosed.

    Lypex can be used with other treatments.

Composition: Each Lypex capsule contains the following pancreatic enzymes:

    Lipase 30,000 Ph.Eur.U.

    Amylase 18,750 Ph.Eur.U

    Protease 1200 Ph.Eur.U

Administration

Dogs with diseases of the pancreas or malabsorption should be fed twice daily.

    For dogs over 10 kg, administer one capsule with each meal.

    For cats and dogs below 10 kg, half a capsule with each meal.

The level can be adjusted at the recommendation of the veterinarian.

The product can be administered as such in the form of capsules or they can be opened and the contents can be sprinkled and mixed with food.
