PROPRIETATI_______________________________________________________ HEPATOGEN is a Silibin-phospholipid complex (Phytosome®), with vitamin E and Zinc and its activity is improved by the addition of Curcumin-Phytosome® and a Superoxide Dismutase with gastric protection (SOD B Extramel®). Silibin is a flavonoid extracted from the Armurariu plant (Silybum marianum), with a role in supporting liver function by: - its direct antioxidant action, 5-10 times higher than vitamins C and E. - stimulating liver cell regeneration, thanks to its property of facilitating protein synthesis, - contribution to the regulation of liver enzymes, - its ability to selectively increase the hepatic level of glutathione by more than 35% (substance that enters the composition of enzymes with an important role in liver detoxification and protection against lipid peroxidation of liver cell walls), - Its anti-inflammatory and antifibrotic properties that help inhibit collagen synthesis - stimulating the production of bile salts and their flow, - increases the antioxidant activity of Superoxide Dismutase Curcumin is a flavonoid extracted from Turmeric (Curcuma longa) - called by GreenMedInfo "the most important plant in the world" - having the following roles: - anti-inflammatory (the strongest natural anti-inflammatory found) by inhibiting the activity of COX2 and LOX5 enzymes and blocking pro-inflammatory cytokines - powerful antioxidant (over 100 times higher than vitamin E) - anticancer, by inhibiting the proliferation, growth and multiplication of cells with abnormal multiplication, producing their apoptosis and inhibiting neoangiogenesis at their level - choleretic and cholagogue role Superoxide Dismutase (SOD B Extramel®) is a family of metalloenzymes that has the strongest antioxidant role in the body, prevents oxidative stress, which has a destructive role on liver cell function. SOD B Extramel® converts superoxide radicals to water and hydrogen peroxide, then is catalyzed into oxygen and water by catalase and glutathione peroxidase (enzymes with which SOD B Extramel® acts synergistically). SOD B Extramel® also plays an important role in supporting phase II liver detoxification. Specialist studies on the aging process have noted that organisms with the highest levels of Superoxide Dismutase have the longest lifespan. Through the Phytosome® process, flavonoid substances (Curcumin and Silibin) are related to essential phospholipids (phosphatidylcholine) and as a result, their bioavailability is increased 7-10 times. Phosphatidylcholine has its own hepatoprotective action: this choline reservoir is a natural constituent of bile, which emulsifies lipids and allows their decomposition, thus preventing the appearance of hepatic steatosis. Phosphatidylcholine is able to be selectively incorporated into hepatocyte membranes and to give them more resistance to lipid peroxidation. The Phytosome® technique amplifies the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antifibrosing and detoxifying role of Silibin. Vitamin E also protects the phospholipids of liver cell membranes from lipid peroxidation by forming stabilizing complexes, which prevent highly destructive chain reactions of reactive oxygen species. This antifibrosing activity acts in synergy with that of silibin and phosphatidylcholine, this being already validated in human practice. It has a role in liver detoxification by activating the hepatic microsomal system. Zinc is an essential mineral with a role in prev the occurrence of oxidative stress and the maintenance of the normal activity of over 200 enzymes (including the activity of SOD B Extramel® - carbonic anhydrase, carbon peptidase, alkaline phosphatase, etc.). It has an essential role in: the process of cell division, proliferation and growth; stimulating the production of antibodies; maintaining the health of the skin and hair by activating the monocyte-macrophage system; vision metabolism; reproduction; cardiovascular protection s.a. ADMINISTRATION METHOD HEPATOGEN Feline - Canine: 2 tablets / 5 kg body weight / day or, for better bioavailability: 1 tablet in the morning and evening / 5 kg body weight / day. Canine HEPATOGEN: 1 tablet / 10 kg body weight / day or, for better bioavailability: 1/2 tablet morning and evening / 10 kg body weight / day. Before use or prolongation of use, it is recommended to seek the advice of a veterinarian. The recommended period for use is 6 months. Water must be provided at all times. HEPATOGEN is compatible with the diet of patients suffering from heart or kidney failure. Generally, the tablets are swallowed spontaneously. Otherwise, it is sufficient to incorporate the tablet into a food or, if necessary, to crush the tablet. The doses that can be used correspond to those in the table below: STORAGE Store in a place away from heat and moisture. Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
