PRASIMEC D INDICATIONS:
In dogs, in infestations with endoparasites, broad cestode worms (tapeworms) and roundworms (nematodes); in cardiac filariasis, in infestations with fleas, lice, grass ticks and mange agents, including those of auricular mange and especially in cases of complex parasitism (endo and ectoparasitism).
COMPOSITION:
Praziquantel 0.050 g Abamectin 0.002 g Excipients ad 0.480 g
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:
- Praziquantel exerts an antiparasitic action on cestodes (broad worms) that infest canids: Echinociccus granulosus (sexually mature forms), Multiceps (Taenia) multiceps, T. hydatigena, T. ovis, T. pisiformis, T. taeniaeformis, Dipylidium caninum (both forms mature as well as sexually immature ones), Diphyllobothrium latum and on trematodes such as Opistorchis felineus, Paragonimus westermani, Apophallus donicum, Mesosephanus spp.
- Abamectin is an endectocide that acts on internal (nematodes) and external (arthropods, lice, mange agents and grass ticks) parasites that infest canids. Its antinematodic action is exerted on some of the roundworms Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Trichuris vulpis, Ancylostoma caninum, A. brasiliense, Uncinaria Stenocephala, Strongiloides stercoralis and also on Dirofilaria immitis and Filaroides osteri. The action of abamectin on external parasites is manifested against Linognatus setosus (dog lice), Ctenocephalides canis (dog flea), C. felis (cat flea), Pulex irritans (human flea), and the acaricidal action on mange agents and Demodex ticks canis, Otodectes cynotis, Sarcoptes canis, Notoedres ssp., Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Dermacentor reticulates and broad grass ticks.
The two active substances of the preparation complement each other, ensuring a broad-spectrum antiparasitic effect after a single administration. The Prazimec D product is well tolerated by dogs (with the exception of a few breeds, see Contraindications).
In case of overdose, salivation, pupil dilation and walking disorders may occur.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not administer to dogs of the following breeds: Collie, Shelti, Bobtail, pregnant bitches and puppies less than two months old.
Do not exceed the dose of 4 tablets / animal in a single dose for dogs whose body weight exceeds 40 kg.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
Orally, together with solid food.
DOSAGE: One tablet per 10 kg gc
The treatment can be repeated after a month.
In case of flea infestation, the environment in which the animal lives must be treated.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION:- Praziquantel induces an anthelmintic action (anticestodic and partially antitrematodic). Its anticestodic action is manifested against some cestodes (broad worms) that can parasitize the cat's digestive tract Diphylobothrium latum, Dipylidium caninum (sexually mature forms), Spirometra erinacei europeoi, Mesocestoides lineatus, Hydatigera taeniaeformis, Taenis hydatigena, and the antitrematodic action against Opistorhis felineus, Alaria alata. Abamenctin is an endectocide that affects both internal and external parasites, inducing an anthelmintic (anti nematode) and an antiarthropod (fleas, ticks, agents of heaven). Its anti-nematodic action is directed against roundworms, and the anti-arthropod against hematophagous and malophagous external parasites: Ctenocephalides cati (cat fleas), C. canis (dog fleas), Pulex irritans (human fleas), Dipelatonema reconditum, Felicola subrostratum ( cat lice) and against the agents of mange and ticks Notoedres cati, Otodectes cynotis, Cheiletiella blakei, Ixodes ricinus, rhipicephalus sanguineus, Dermacentor reticulates, etc. The action of praziquantel is based on the suppression of fumarate reductase at the level of myofibrillar membranes and at the level of neuro-synaptic synapses muscles, resulting in paralysis and death of the helminths.
- Abamectin stimulates the release of gamma aminobutyric acid (AGAB), preventing the transmission of nerve impulses, an effect that produces paralysis of external and internal parasites.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Do not administer to pregnant cats, to infant kittens or to kittens under two months of age. METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION: Oral, together with solid food.
DOSES OF PRAZIMEC C:- in endoparasitosis 1 tablet per 2.5 kg gc
- in ectoparasitosis 2 tablets per 2.5 kg gc
The treatment can be repeated after 7 - 10 days (especially in ectoparasitosis).
In cases of flea infestation, the animal's environment must also be treated.

AZIONE FARMACOLOGICA:- Il praziquantel induce un'azione antielmintica (anticestodica e parzialmente antitrematodica). La sua azione anticestodica si manifesta contro i cestodi (vermi larghi) che possono parassitare l'apparato digerente del gatto: Diphylobothrium latum, Dipylidium caninum (forme sessualmente mature), Spirometra erinacei europei, Mesocestoides lineatus, Hydatigera taeniaeformis, Taenis hydatigena, e l'azione antitrematodica contro Opistorhis felineus, Alaria alata. L'abamenctina è un endectocida che agisce sui parassiti sia interni che esterni, inducendo nel gatto un'azione antielmintica (antinematodica) e antiartropoda (pulci, zecche, agenti della scabbia). La sua azione antinematode è diretta contro gli ascaridi, e la sua azione antiartropodi è diretta contro i parassiti esterni ematofagi e malofagi: Ctenocephalides cati (pulci del gatto), C. canis (pulci del cane), Pulex irritans (pulci dell'uomo), Dipelatonema reconditum, Felicola subrostratum (pidocchi del gatto) e contro gli agenti della scabbia e delle zecche Notoedres cati, Otodectes cynotis, Cheiletiella blakei, Ixodes ricinus, rhipicephalus sanguineus, Dermacentor reticulates, ecc. L'azione del praziquantel si basa sulla soppressione della fumarato reduttasi a livello delle membrane miofibrillari e a livello delle sinapsi neuromuscolari, con conseguente paralisi e morte degli elminti.
- L'abamectina stimola il rilascio di acido gamma-amminobutirrico (GAB), impedendo la trasmissione degli impulsi nervosi, effetto che provoca la paralisi dei parassiti esterni e interni.
CONTROINDICAZIONI:
Non somministrare a gatte gravide, gattini che allattano o gattini di età inferiore ai due mesi. MODO DI SOMMINISTRAZIONE: Orale, con cibo solido.
DOSAGGIO PRAZIMEC C:- nelle endoparassitosi 1 compressa ogni 2,5 kg gc
- in ectoparassitosi 2 compresse ogni 2,5 kg gc
Il trattamento può essere ripetuto dopo 7-10 giorni (soprattutto in caso di infezioni ectoparassitarie).
In caso di infestazione da pulci è necessario trattare anche l'ambiente in cui vive l'animale.
MAGAZZINAGGIO:Prazimec C si conserva nella confezione originale, ben chiusa, in luoghi asciutti, al riparo dalla luce, a temperature comprese tra 15 e 25 °C.

I due principi attivi del preparato si completano a vicenda, garantendo un effetto antiparassitario ad ampio spettro dopo una sola somministrazione. Il prodotto Prazimec D è ben tollerato dai cani (ad eccezione di alcune razze, vedere Controindicazioni).
In caso di sovradosaggio possono verificarsi salivazione, dilatazione delle pupille e disturbi dell'andatura.
CONTROINDICAZIONI:
Non somministrare ai cani delle seguenti razze: Collie, Sheltie, Bobtail, cagne gravide e cuccioli di età inferiore ai due mesi.
Non superare la dose di 4 compresse/animale in un'unica somministrazione per cani il cui peso corporeo supera i 40 kg.
MODALITÀ DI SOMMINISTRAZIONE:
Per via orale, insieme al cibo solido.
DOSAGGIO: Una compressa ogni 10 kg di peso corporeo
Il trattamento può essere ripetuto dopo un mese.
In caso di infestazione da pulci è necessario trattare l'ambiente in cui vive l'animale.
