What does it contain?
The Japanese mint plant, Mentha arvensis, is a species of mint native to North America and eastern Asia. It has many uses and the leaves and stems of this perennial plant are steam distilled to produce the essential oil of Japanese Mint. Although similar to Peppermint oil, Japanese Peppermint essential oil has a higher menthol content, which gives it a stronger menthol flavor. For this reason, Japanese Mint is often the preferred ingredient for commercial drops. From desserts to savory recipes, enrich your culinary preparations with the qualities and aroma of Japanese Peppermint oil, for a refreshing taste with every bite.
Copaiba essential oil is extracted from an aromatic tropical tree, native to South America. Since the 16th century, copaiba essential oil has been used in traditional medical practices by the natives of northern and northeastern Brazil. Copaiba oil is widely used in cosmetic products such as soaps, creams, lotions and perfumes due to its skin-soothing properties. Apply topically in combination with a carrier oil or skin moisturizer to maintain healthy-looking skin.
Citrate peppermint essential oil is obtained from a perennial herb with purple flowers and heart-shaped leaves. Despite the name, Citrate Mint is not related to citrus fruits at all. Similar to lavender, the main components of Citrate Mint are linalool and linalyl acetate. Perfect for adding to Fractionated Coconut Oil for a comforting and soothing post-workout massage. The minty lavender aroma of Citramint perfectly complements a relaxing warm bath.
Tea Tree essential oil – often referred to as “Melaleuca” essential oil – is made up of over 92 different compounds and has amazing applications through external use. Tea tree leaves have been used for centuries by Australian aborigines. They crushed the leaves and applied them directly to the skin for a cooling effect. Tea tree essential oil is well known for its purifying properties. It can be used to clean and purify the skin and nails and helps maintain a healthy complexion. Tea Tree essential oil is commonly used on occasional skin irritations and for general skin soothing.
Moroccan blue chamomile or simply Moroccan chamomile is an annual Mediterranean plant with yellow flowers that grows in northern Morocco. Moroccan Chamomile flower has a chemical composition that your skin will love! Camazulene, a chemical component of Moroccan blue chamomile, gives it its characteristic indigo color. This essential oil is also known for its skin benefits. Add it to a warm bath, use it with your favorite skin care products, or simply massage it into your skin.
Anise is an evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia. The trees usually only grow up to 4-6 meters, but can reach heights of 20 meters. In Chinese culture, the plant is called "eight-horned anise" or just "eight-horned", referring to the fruit which usually has eight follicles. Anethole, the main chemical component in anise, is what creates the characteristic licorice flavor that the essential oil and anise fruit are known for. As one of the main ingredients in doTERRA ZenGest™, anise oil can be beneficial for gastric discomfort when used externally.
