COMPOSITION
1 tablet contains:
Active ingredient: Metronidazole 250 mg
Beige, round tablets with a cross-shaped score line on one side.
The tablets can be divided into 2 or 4 equal parts.
Directions
Treatment of gastrointestinal tract infections caused by Giardia spp. and Clostridia spp. (i.e. C. perfringens or C. difficile).
Treatment of infections of the urogenital tract, oral cavity, throat and skin caused by strictly anaerobic bacteria (e.g. Clostridia spp.) sensitive to metronidazole.
Not to be used in cases of liver disease.
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients.
QUANTITIES TO BE ADMINISTERED AND ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION
For oral administration.
The recommended dose is 50 mg metronidazole/kg body weight/day for 5-7 days. The daily dose may be divided equally for twice daily administration (i.e. 25 mg/kg body weight/day twice daily).
To ensure the correct dose is administered, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible. The following table provides recommendations for administration of the product with a recommended dose rate of 50 mg/kg body weight administered once daily or, preferably, administered in two daily doses of 25 mg/kg body weight.

The tablets can be divided into 2 or 4 equal parts to ensure proper dosing. Place the tablet on a flat surface with the scored side up and the convex (rounded) side facing the surface.
Halves: press both sides of the tablet with your thumbs.
Quarters: press the middle of the tablet with your thumbs.

Indicazioni
Trattamento delle infezioni del tratto gastrointestinale causate da Giardia spp. e Clostridia spp. (ad esempio C. perfringens o C. difficile).
Trattamento delle infezioni del tratto urogenitale, del cavo orale, della gola e della pelle causate da batteri strettamente anaerobi (ad es. Clostridia spp.) sensibili al metronidazolo.
Da non utilizzare in caso di patologie epatiche.
Non usare in caso di ipersensibilità al principio attivo o ad uno qualsiasi degli eccipienti.
QUANTITÀ DA SOMMINISTRARE E VIA DI SOMMINISTRAZIONE
Per somministrazione orale.
La dose raccomandata è di 50 mg di metronidazolo/kg di peso corporeo/giorno, per 5-7 giorni. La dose giornaliera può essere suddivisa equamente per una somministrazione due volte al giorno (ad es. 25 mg/kg di peso corporeo/giorno due volte al giorno).
Per garantire la somministrazione della dose corretta, il peso corporeo deve essere determinato nel modo più accurato possibile. La tabella seguente fornisce raccomandazioni per la somministrazione del prodotto con una dose raccomandata di 50 mg/kg di peso corporeo somministrata una volta al giorno o, preferibilmente, somministrata in due dosi giornaliere da 25 mg/kg di peso corporeo.

Per garantire un dosaggio adeguato, le compresse possono essere divise in 2 o 4 parti uguali. Posizionare la compressa su una superficie piana, con la parte incisa rivolta verso l'alto e il lato convesso (arrotondato) rivolto verso la superficie.
Metà: premere entrambi i lati della tavoletta con i pollici.
Quarti: premere il centro della tavoletta con i pollici.
