Action Dectomax contains as its active substance doramectin, an avermectin discovered by Pfizer. Doramectin has a broad spectrum of activity and high efficacy against gastrointestinal nematodes (adults and L4 larvae), pulmonary strongyls (adults and L4), Thelazia spp., Hipoderma bovis, lice, stingrays, ticks, renal parasites, which parasitize cattle, sheep and pigs.
Indications In the control of infestations with the mentioned parasites, sensitive to doramectin, which affect cattle, sheep and pigs.
How to use Dectomax is inoculated intramuscularly, in the nape area. In cattle and sheep, it is administered at a dose of 200 mg doramectin/kg body weight, respectively 1 ml of product/50 kg of body weight. In pigs, it is administered at a dose of 300 mg doramectin/kg body weight, respectively 1 ml of product/33 kg of body weight.
Contraindications and precautions To reduce the viscosity of the product, the bottle of Dectomax should be slightly heated until it reaches a temperature of at least 15° C. The instruments used should be brought to the same thermal regime. Dectomax should not be used in lactating females; in females 60 days before the planned calving date.
Waiting time For meat: for pigs - 28 days, and for cattle and sheep - 35 days.
Storage conditions At room temperature, away from direct sunlight.
