BULMECTIN 0.2% // Avermectin// INTERNAL ANTIPARASITIC
PRODUCT NAME
BULMECTIN 0.2% 50 GR
COMPOSITION
Avermectin - 0.2 g
Lactose - 50 - 80 g
Silicon oxide - 0.5 - 0.9 g
Mycelium mass - up to 100 g
ACTION
Avermectin has a simultaneous endo and ectoparasitic action, it causes paralysis of nematodes, arthropods and insects, blocks the conduction of nerve impulses at the level of interneuronal synapses in nematodes and at the level of neuromuscular synapses in arthropods.
The effect is achieved by stimulating the release of gamma-aminobutyric acid (AGAB) in the presynaptic ending and its binding to the postsynaptic receptors, resulting in the cessation of the transmission of nerve impulses, with paralysis and death of the parasite.
Trematodes and cestodes are not affected, for them AGAB does not intervene as an interneuronal mediator. It is well tolerated by mammals, in which AGAB is located only in the CNS, where avermectin cannot penetrate. This product is harmless for pregnant females and newborns.
