Pharmacological properties: ivermectin, the active ingredient of Ivomec injection solution, is an Avermectin derivative and a fermentation product of Streptomyces avermitilis. It's a synthetic chemotherapeutic. Ivermectin is composed of 22-23 dihydroavermectin B components at least 80% and 22-23 dihydroavermectin B components at most 20%. Ivermectin prevents passage of motoric nerve impulse by keeping chlorine (Cl) channels open by increasing the secretion of Gamma Amino Butyric Acid (GABA) in the motoric ganglion synapses (nematodes) or neuromuscular end plaques (arthropods) of parasites; the parasite becomes paralyzed and dies. In contrast, since ivermectin cannot adequately penetrate the GABA-Ergic nerves located within the central nervous system by taking the blood/brain barrier in mammalian animals, it kills parasites without harming the host animal.

In subcutaneous practice, the time to reach the maximum plasma concentration is 1.3 days on average, the plasma elimination Half-Life is 3.5 days on average in sheep and 8 days in cattle. It is transported depending on plasma proteins. Distribution volume is high. It penetrates all tissues, body fluids, except cerebrospinal fluid. It has a permanent effect ranging from 2-4 weeks according to parasite species, as it is gradually released and eliminated by storing in adipose tissues. It is excreted mainly by bile secretion and in the urine at a very low rate. More than 90% of the excreted substance is the main compound that has not been metabolized.

Form and dose of Use: Ivomec injection solution is administered subcutaneously only. In cattle, it is injected under the loose skin in the neck area or behind the scapula, in sheep, under the armpit or in the loose area of the skin behind the seat. During application, asepsia and antisepsis rules should be followed, dry, sterile injection needles and injectors should be used.

Ivomec injection solution 0.2 mg/kg c as the active ingredient for 1 kg live weight, unless otherwise described by the veterinarian.a. (200 mcg) ivermectin is administered at the dose to be hit.

The practical dose of Ivomec injection solution is 1 mL for 50 kg body weight. Doses of more than 10 ml are recommended to be divided and injected in separate places. It's only for subcutaneous injection. Do not use intramuscularly or intravenously Nov.

SPECIFIC CLINICAL INFORMATION AND WARNINGS FOR TARGET SPECIES:

As a result of the death of Hypoderma bovis larvae that entered the Medulla spinalis during migration, there are some clinical manifestations of parezis, paraplegia, and as a result of the death of hypoderma lineatum larvae, salivation and Secunder tympani due to esophageal paralysis. For the Nokra challenge, practice should be preferred following the end of the Nokra fly season.
Since the effectiveness of controlling infestation against screwworm, Chrysomia bezziana, larvae continues for 2 weeks after application, woundworm infections can be prevented for 14 days by applying Ivomec injection solution in aquaculture applications such as castration, stamping, ear number insertion.
It was found that the duration of permanent action of Ivomec injection solution against infective hairworm larvae varies between 2-4 weeks depending on nematode species.
No matter what parasite is involved, in order for the parasitic struggle to be successful, it is essential that the application covers all animals in the herd.
In determining application times and application frequency, parasitic development circuits of target parasites, transmission intensity, climate and pasture conditions, pasture programs and other environmental factors should be taken into account. Consult your veterinarian for the most appropriate and effective parasite control program for the region.
Ivomec injection solution once at the entrance to the feed is usually sufficient for cattle taken to the barn.
Animals that graze constantly or occasionally in pasture should be applied several times a year. Consult your veterinarian to determine the optimal spraying times, number of spraying and application intervals according to the conditions of the region and the status of the target parasites.
For young animals who first go out to pasture, 3 after the exit to pasture., 8. and 13. the best results can be obtained in the pasture season of that year when 3 applications are made within weeks.
In order to get the best results in the treatment of psoroptic scabies in sheep, it is recommended to apply 2 times with decals of 7 days.
Use during pregnancy: safe for pregnant women in the form of recommended use.

Unwanted effects: after subcutaneous injection, soft tissue radiation may be rare at the injection site. These reactions heal spontaneously without any intervention.

Drug effects: there is no information about the lack of livelihood of ivermectin with other drugs.

Overdose symptoms, precautions, ANTIDOT: tolerance limit is wide (calf-Lamb maximum 5 times, adults 10-20 times). Symptoms of central nervous system such as mydriasis, various degrees of depression, relaxation of muscles, paresis, ataxia, decreased tongue and lip tone, drooling, lying on the floor, coma are seen in the dose. It has no known antidote.

Drug residue warnings in foods: duration of drug residue purification (i.n.a.s.): Cattle raised for their meat during treatment and after the last Drug Administration should not be sent to slaughter for 35 days, sheep for 42 days. It cannot be applied to milking cows and sheep that are getting milk for human consumption.

Contraindications: Nokra factors should not be applied during spinal cord migration. You should not less common ways to use it in Nov.

General warnings: consult your veterinarian before use and if unexpected effects occur. Keep out of the reach of children. Keep away from foodstuffs. It should only be used on target types.

Precautions that the practitioner should take and warnings for doctors: do not smoke and eat while using medications, etc. he must not be defeated. Avoid contact with medication and wash your hands after use.

Shelf life is 60 months from the date of manufacture. From the first use, it retains its effect for 6 months, provided that the rules of asepsia-antisepsis are followed and maintained as specified.

End-of-use warnings for disposal and non-target species: since ivermectin is toxic to fish and other aquatic creatures, make sure that used bottles of the drug do not mix with the water. Do not use it in dogs, especially in the Collie breed, as it can cause death.
