These reactions are transient, may occur one hour after treatment and are attenuated within 24-48 hours after administration. Symptomatic treatment is recommended for severe oral reactions. If you notice any serious effects or other effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your veterinary surgeon.Target species: Cabaline.Dose for each species, route (s) of administration and route of administrationOral administration. The recommended dose is 200 mcg of ivermectin per kg of body weight and 1 mg of praziquantel per kg of body weight corresponding to the administration of 1.29 g of paste per 100 kg of body weight. In order to ensure that the correct dose is administered, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible prior to treatment. The contents of a syringe can be used to treat a horse up to 600 kg. The syringe has scored divisions for administration from 100 to 100 kg body weight. The dose in the syringe is adjusted by positioning the ring against the mark on the piston corresponding to the weight of the animal.Antiparasitic control programThe advice of the veterinarian should be followed as to the necessary dosing schedule and stock management to ensure adequate anti-parasitic control against both worms and cylindrical worms.Recommendations on correct administrationInstructions for correct administration EQVALAN DUO is given only orally. While holding the plunger, turn ¼ to the left of the ring attached to the end of the unlocking piston and push it to the mark corresponding to the weight of the animal. Lock the ring back by turning ¼ to the right so that the two arrows, the one on the ring and the one on the piston are in line. Make sure there is no food in the mouth of the animal. Remove the syringe cap. Insert the syringe into the interdental area and release the paste to the base of the tongue. Lift the animal's head for a few seconds immediately after taking the dose to make sure the paste has been swallowed. Waiting time Meat: 30 days. Where test results show resistance to a particular anthelmintic, an anthelmintic belonging to another pharmacological class and having a different mode of action should be used.Resistance to macrocyclic lactones (including ivermectin) has been reported to Parascaris equorum in horses within the EU. This is why the use of this product should be based on local epidemiological information on the susceptibility of gastrointestinal nematodes and recommendations on how to limit the evolution of resistance to anthelminticsSpecial precautions for use in animals No studies have been performed in foals less than 2 months old or in breeding stallions, therefore use in these two categories of animals is not recommended.
