Description:
· Optimmune ophthalmic ointment is indicated for the treatment of chronic keratoconjunctivitis sicca and chronic superficial keratitis in dogs.
Ingredients:
· 0.2% Cyclosporine
· Lanolin alcohol and petrolatum
· Corn oil
· White soft paraffin

Intended use:
· Dogs.
Method of administration:
· Administration is made directly into the eye.
Presentation form:
· 3.5 g tube.
Dosage :
· Apply the ointment to the affected eye every 12 hours, directly onto the cornea or into the conjunctival sac.
Possible adverse effects :
· Mild irritation may occur in the first few days of therapy.
· If irritation persists, treatment should be discontinued.
· In very few cases, inflammation and swelling of the eyelid skin have been reported.
· These appear to be associated with the leakage of excess ointment.
· Reducing the amount of ointment has resolved this problem.
· If you notice serious reactions or other unusual elements, please inform your veterinarian.
Precautions:
· Do not use if fungal or viral eye infections are suspected.
· Any excessive ocular secretion should be removed before applying the ointment by gently cleaning or rinsing the eye with a suitable non-irritating solution.
Storage:
· Store in a place protected from moisture and direct sunlight, at temperatures up to 25°C.
In case of overdose:
· The effects of overdose are unknown.
· In case of overdose, please contact your veterinarian urgently.
